Questions
Where are the books printed, and who ships them?
By Ingram, the printer and distributor behind the paperbacks in every bookshop. Ingram prints each order to order at its nearest site, in the United States, the United Kingdom or Australia, and posts it to you. We don’t keep a warehouse, so nothing is ever out of stock in either language.
How long does it take?
Printing takes a few business days, then the post. Expect about 5–10 business days in the US, 5–12 business days in the UK and Europe, 7–15 business days in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, and 10–25 business days elsewhere. Orders are passed to the printer on the next business day.
Why buy here rather than on Amazon?
Same book, same price. The difference is who gets the money: when you buy direct, more of each sale reaches the author and the small company that publishes the books, and the Spanish paperbacks are always available. If you prefer a store, every one that stocks the books is listed, country by country, on the where to buy page.
Can I pay in euros, pounds or another currency?
Prices are in US dollars. Stripe, which handles the payment, accepts cards from almost every country, and your bank converts the amount at its usual rate. Apple Pay and Google Pay work too, where your device supports them.
Will I pay customs duties or tax?
Orders to the US, the UK and the EU are printed inside that market, so there are no import charges. For other countries the parcel is sent duty-unpaid, and your customs office may add duty or tax on delivery; for a few small books that is usually nothing or very little, but we can’t promise it.
What if a book arrives damaged, or doesn’t arrive?
Email jesper@danishmentalist.com with your order number and a photo, and a replacement is printed and sent at no charge.
I need more than twenty copies, or a class set.
For class sets, schools, libraries and bookshops there is a better price than the shop can offer: bulk and school orders, or email jesper@danishmentalist.com.
Is my card safe?
Payment happens on Stripe’s own secure page; the card number never touches this website. The publisher sees your name, address and what you bought, nothing else.
